ICF 인증 라이프코치 취득과정_ 필기시험 CKA 합격 수기

 

굉장히 오랫만에 올리는 라이프 코치 취득 과정

지난 포스팅을 올린 이후,

거의 1년 가까이 되어가는 듯 하다ㅎㅎㅎ

 

 

고민하다가 그래도 누군가는 이 포스팅을

참고할 수도 있고 하니

끝까지 한 번 마무리해보려고 한다

 

 

 

 

 

교육 기간 동안 교육을 받고

주어진 코칭 실습을 하고

전담 코치에게 멘토링을 받은 후,

Best 코칭 세션 녹음 파일과 스크립트를 제출한다.

 

 

그러면 ICF 에서 이 내용을 리뷰하고

모두 통과된 사람들에게

CKA 라는 시험을 볼 수 있게 해준다.

 

 

CKA는 Coach Knowledge Assessment의 약자로

간단한 필기 시험이다.

 

 

CKA를 치를 수 있는 링크를 받으면

60일 이내에 아무 때나 시험을 보면 된다.

 

 

시험을 보기 전, 3시간 동안 방해받지 않고

집중할 수 있는 시간을 확보하여

편한 시간에 시험을 보면 되는 것이다.

 

 

155문항이 4지 선다형으로 나오기 때문에

1분에 하나씩 푼다고 생각하면 될 것 같다.

Q. 시험의 난이도

 

 

우리의 목표는 100점을 맞는 것이 아니고

70점만 넘으면 되기 때문에

너무 열심히 공부할 필요는 없는 것 같다.

 

 

4지 선다형이고 복수 정답이 없기 때문에

한 번호로만 찍어도 25%는 받는 것이다.

그러니 너무 염려는 하지 말자.

 

 

각 업체별로 시험에 대한 쌓인 데이터가 있기 때문에

어느 정도 도움을 받을 수 있다.

 

 

시험 때문에 떨어지는 사람은 없다.

 

 

Q. 시험에서 떨어지면?

 

 

70% 이상을 맞추면 패스인데

만약 떨어지면 돈을 더 내고 다시 보면 된다.

 

 

그래서 어쨌든 의지만 있다면

CKA 때문에 자격증을 취득하지 못할 일은 없을 것이다.

 

 

담당 매니저는 시험에 떨어진 경우를

본인은 한 번도 본 적이 없다고 말했고

 

 

남편 같은 경우는

한국 사람은 이런 시험에서 떨어질 일이 없다고 말함ㅋㅋㅋ

 

 

나는 떨어질까봐 걱정하기보다는

다시 재시험보면 돈($75)을 내야해서

그게 더 긴장 되었다.

 

 

Q. 시험 준비 기간

 

 

나의 경우에는 봐야할 시험 범위를

총 3번 정도 꼼꼼하게 읽었다.

 

 

한 5일 정도, 하루에 3-5시간 정도 투자했다.

 

 

Q. 시험 언어 선택

 

 

한국어로 시험을 볼 수 있다!

 

 

다만, 나는 가지고 있던 자료가 모두 영문이라서

오히려 헷갈릴 것 같아 그냥 영어로 시험을 보았다.

 

 

영어는 아무래도 읽는데 시간이 오래 걸려서

시험 준비를 할 때 시간이 조금 더 걸리긴 했지만

실제 시험을 볼 때는 1분에 하나씩 풀면 되므로

시간이 빠듯하지는 않다.

 

 

Q. 시험 범위

 

 

교육 받을 때 다루었던 모든 내용이 시험범위는 아니고

CKA를 대비한 자료를 따로 보면 된다.

Q. 문제 유형

 

 

문제는 상황이 주어지고 맞는 행동을 선택하는 식이다.

 

고객이 이런저런 이유로 코칭을 그만두고 싶다고 하면

바로 그만두도록 하거나

 

고객이 코치에게 컨설팅이나 심리상담사 역할을 요구한다면

코칭이 무엇인지 설명한다거나

 

이런 식의 문제들이다.

 

따라서 암기를 할 필요는 없다.

 

 

Domain: Setting the Foundation
The client is a high-energy manager with a generally positive outlook. Just before coming to the coaching session, the client was told that their responsibilities are about to drastically change and will no longer be doing the work they are passionate about. The client has come to the session in a particularly negative mood, and has expressed the desire to address this situation during today’s session. What is the BEST way for the coach to proceed?

a. Ask the client about all of the potential positive outcomes from this situation.
b. Remind the client that the agenda for this session was set at the end of the last session.
c. Explore the outcomes for the session and ensure that the client and coach are both clear on them.

Q. 시험 볼 준비는 언제 되는가?

 

 

나 같은 경우는 ICF 홈페이지와 교육 기관에서

구할 수 있는 CKA에 관련된 모든 자료를 다 인쇄했고

꼼꼼하게 읽었다.

 

 

세 번째 쯤 읽다보니까

더 이상 읽어봤자 의미가 없다는 생각이 들었다.

그냥 검은 글씨를 읽을 뿐이지

새로울 게 없으니 머리에 들어오지도 않고...

 

 

그래서 그냥 바로 시험을 봤다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

시험은 혼자 보아야하며

다른 사람의 도움을 받으면 안된다.

 

 

Q.결과는 언제 알까?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

결과는 시험을 치르고 바로 알 수 있고

시험을 모두 종료하면

메일이 오는데

시스템으로 다시 확인이 가능하다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

시험을 보고 1주일 정도 기다리면

ICF 로부터 연락이 온다.
